Honor Roll
OF LONG-TERM RUNNERS
(as of the 2006 running)

Karen and Dan Baker - Karen started running Brian's Run in 1978.   She's run just about every Brian's run since but took a couple breaks while pregnant with her children.  She even walked the 2006 5K after knee surgery! When Karen met her husband (Dan Baker) they started running Brian's run together in 1985.  Dan has run every year since then (except one year when he was too late to register so he ran as a 'bandit').  Karen and Dan really enjoy the day and seeing Brian there each year.

Charles Coxson - Chuck has been in every Brian’s Run since that memorable start in 1978. First as a runner and then as a walker. He plans to keep on coming and enjoying it. This year  Chuck will be running his 29th Brian's Run on his 60th Birthday.

John Heathcote

Lou and Chris Hertzog. - Lou and Chris will be participating in their 20th race.  They have run every race together for the last 20 years without missing a year.  It is a very special father son activity that they have shared for a long time. Karen Johnson (Chris's fiancée) joined the family tradition a few years ago and is looking forward to her third race this year. Karen and Chris are both graduates of West Chester University.

Lorraine Cephus - Lorraine is friends of the Bratcher family and has participated in every year’s running of Brian’s Run. She lives in New Jersey and has also run in every Philadelphia Distance Run as well. She also ran the Marine Corps Marathon the past two years.

Mark Osman - Mark has participated in every single Brian’s Run and at age 74 is quite a story of the value of running to physical fitness.

Wesley and Nancy Doughty - This indomitable couple have run in every Brian’s Run but 1994 and are staying in shape preparing for this year.

James Lennon - Jim ran in every Brian’s Run up to 2002 and then had to miss that one. He too has an original Tee Shirt from the first year. He expressed how great he feels this event is and for a great cause.

Larry Johnson - Larry ran in the first Brian’s Run 10K in 1978 and every 10K since except ‘93 (family trip) and ‘95 (back injury). He plans to keep participating in the 10K until he can’t run (some future decade) and then maybe cut back to a shorter event.

Reuben King -Reuben has run every year since 1980, with the exception of 1999. He is an avid runner participating in road races nearly every week and is consistently up front.

Allen Thompson - Allen has completed every Brian’s Run since 1982. He kids that he completes each one the same day as started! All kidding aside, Allen is one of the most devoted runners in the area and participates in road races nearly every weekend, good weather and bad, and has the fitness to show for it.

Mike Sheldon - Mike has run in each Brian’s Run since 1982 and intends to continue.

David James - Dave has run in every Brian’s Run for more than 20 years and has the shirts for every one according to his proud daughter, Erica.

Joseph & Mary Lou Ryan - Both Joe & Mary Lou have run in just about every year’s Brian’s Run for over 20 years and plan on continuing this year.

Note to all - If you are one, or know of other people who have participated in Brian’s Run for 20 or more years, contact Skip Persick so that you may be recognized on the honor roll.
